I bought a Canon AE-1 Program camera in 1987 and discovered the fascinating world of photography. After shooting with that camera for about 13 years, I bought a Canon EOS Elan II. I had resisted the world of digital photography, but finally broke down and bought a Canon G2 in February of 2002. This camera has opened up a whole new world to me.

In November of 2002, I upgraded my digital camera to the Canon Digital Rebel with its 18-55mm lens. Now I can combine digital imagery with the control of an SLR. I added the Canon 20D to be my main shooting camera in July, 2005.

For five years, my husband and I published a country music magazine for the Chicagoland area. I enjoyed shooting concert photos of many of the country stars who passed through the area.

I have recently completed the requirements for a Nature Photography Certificate offered by Morton Arboretum, Lisle, Illinois, and will receive the Certificate in November, 2005. I have also taken classes with Kerry Drager, Jim Zuckerman, Bryan Peterson, Steven Silk, Brenda Tharp, Hank Erdmann, Williard Clay, Walt Anderson and Carol Freeman. I have found photography to be a constant learning process that is challenging and fascinating.
